The V-2AM is a pneumatic actuated ball valve built on our two-piece 316 body. The ISO 5211 pad is cast into the valve itself, so the rack-and-pinion air actuator bolts straight on — no bracket to fabricate, no coupling to align. A quarter turn opens or closes the line in under a second, which is what you want from an automated ball valve sitting on a PLC output.
Ten sizes cover 3/8", 1/2", 3/4", 1", 1-1/4", 1-1/2", 2", 2-1/2", 3" and 4". Every size is full port, so a 2 inch pneumatic ball valve passes the same bore as the pipe it sits in and adds almost no restriction. Bodies are cast A351 CF8M (316) with PTFE seats and an A276 316 stem, rated 1000 WOG and −20°C to 180°C at the valve. CF8 (304) bodies are available to order.
Choose double acting or spring return. Double acting uses air for both strokes; spring return drives the valve to a preset open or closed position when air is lost, which is how most people specify an air actuated valve for a line that must fail to a known state. Standard air supply is 4 to 8 bar. Double acting or spring return — which should I pick?
Double acting uses air for both strokes and holds its last position if air is lost. Spring return uses air one way and the spring drives the valve to a preset open or closed position on air failure. If your process needs a defined state after air loss, pick spring return and tell us the fail direction when you order.
Do I need a mounting bracket?
No. The ISO 5211 pad is cast into the valve body, sized F03 up to F10 depending on the valve. The actuator bolts directly to it, so there is no bracket to fabricate and no coupling to align.
Is it full port?
Yes, on every size from 3/8" to 4". The bore matches the pipe inside diameter, so the open valve adds almost no flow restriction — useful when the valve is used as a pneumatic isolation valve on a line you do not want to throttle.
Which thread standards are available?
PT taper female threads are standard. NPT and PF are made to order — tell us which standard your piping uses when you request a quote.
Can I add a solenoid valve or limit switch box?
Yes. Solenoid valves, limit switch boxes and positioners are fitted at assembly. State the accessories and your air supply — standard is 4 to 8 bar — when you request a quote.
