V-2D elbow ball valve, 90° angle body, female threaded ends, blue lever

Elbow ball valve, 90° angle

The elbow is built into the body — flow turns 90° inside the valve, so a tank outlet or a corner takes one part instead of a valve plus a fitting. Two-piece, full port, 1/2″ to 2″, 1000 WOG.

Product overview

The elbow is part of the valve.

The V-2D is a two-piece ball valve with the elbow built into the body. Flow comes in through the side port and leaves through the bottom, so one part does the work of a ball valve and a 90° fitting. At a tank outlet the discharge points straight down — into a bucket, a hose or a floor drain — with nothing stacked underneath.

Six sizes: 1/2″, 3/4″, 1″, 1-1/4″, 1-1/2″ and 2″. Every one of them is full port, so the bore matches the line and the corner does not throttle the flow. Body, ball and stem are made in 304 or 316 stainless — tell us which one when you order. Seats and both gaskets are PTFE. Fasteners and the lever are 304.

Threads are PT taper from stock; NPT and PF are made to order. A locking plate for the lever is available as an option, so the valve can be padlocked open or shut. Mill certificates are available on request.

Where it gets used

Tank and vessel drain outlets — the valve is the elbow, so the discharge points straight down into a bucket or a hose with no fitting stacked below the tank bossChange-of-direction shut-off — one part replaces a straight valve plus a 90° fitting, which takes out two joints and the leak paths that come with themCompressed air drip legs — at the bottom of a low-point leg the angled body turns the condensate down into a container while the lever stays out front where an operator can reach itMachine and skid drains against a panel — the body turns the line at the valve, so no nipple-and-elbow stack is needed in the gap between the equipment and the wallDraw-off and sampling points — the downward outlet lets the line empty into a container by gravity once the valve is opened
Quality assurance

Every valve leak tested.

Each unit is checked for leakage before shipment.

FAQ
Is this a full port ball valve?

Yes. All six sizes are full port — the bore through the ball matches the nominal size, so the elbow does not reduce the line.

Why use an elbow ball valve instead of a ball valve and an elbow fitting?

Because it is one part instead of two. The elbow is part of the body, so you lose a fitting and the two joints that go with it — less to assemble, less to leak, and less height under a tank outlet.

What sizes do you make?

1/2″, 3/4″, 1″, 1-1/4″, 1-1/2″ and 2″. Dimensions A to G for every size are on the dimension sheet.

What threads does it come with?

PT taper from stock. NPT and PF can be made to order — tell us which one when you send your sizes.

What is the valve made of?

Body, ball and stem are made in 304 or 316 stainless — tell us which one when you order. Seats and gaskets are PTFE. Fasteners and the lever are 304.

Can I get a material certificate?

Yes — mill certificates are available on request. Ask for one when you place the order.
