Camlock Ball Valve
A stainless steel camlock valve with the shut-off built into the hose coupling — thread on one end, a male camlock adapter on the other. Two-piece body, full port, PTFE seats, 304 or 316 made to order.
Built to hold, built to last.
On most hose stations the shut-off and the coupling are two separate parts: a ball valve, a nipple, then a camlock adapter screwed onto it. This valve is both in one body. One end takes a female or male thread into your line; the other end is a male camlock adapter that any standard camlock coupler snaps onto. Fewer joints means fewer places to leak, and one less part to stock.
The V-2CL comes in two builds: female thread x male camlock (Type A) and male thread x male camlock (Type F). Both are made in 1-1/2 inch and 2 inch — the sizes transfer hoses actually run on. The body and ball are stainless steel — 304 or 316, both made to order — with PTFE seats and a full port bore that does not neck the flow down. Working range is -20°C to 180°C at 1000 WOG.
Material matters more here than on a fixed pipe joint. Aluminium camlocks are light and cheap and fine for water, fuel and air, but they will not take aggressive chemicals. Polypropylene handles corrosives but gives up pressure and temperature. Stainless steel is the one that covers all three — corrosive media, higher pressure, and the wider temperature band — which is why it is what plants specify when the same coupling has to work on more than one line.

What is a camlock ball valve?
It is a ball valve with a cam and groove coupling built onto one end, so the shut-off sits at the hose connection instead of upstream of it. You may also see it called a camlock valve, a cam and groove ball valve, or a quick-connect ball valve — same thing.
Type A or Type F — which one do I need?
Both have a male camlock adapter on the outlet; the difference is the thread on the other end. Type A takes a female thread, Type F a male thread. Pick by what the line side of your connection already has.
Why stainless instead of aluminium or polypropylene?
Aluminium is the cheapest and is fine on water, fuel and compressed air, but aggressive chemicals attack it. Polypropylene resists chemicals but is limited on pressure and temperature. Stainless covers corrosive media at 1000 WOG and up to 180°C, so one coupling type works across more of your lines.
Which thread do you supply?
PT, NPT and PF, all made to order. Tell us the thread and size when you enquire and we build to it.
Will it mate with the camlock couplers we already have?
Yes — the outlet is a standard male camlock adapter, so any standard coupler of the same size closes onto it. Match the size and check the gasket material suits your media.
