Welded ball valve, pneumatic
Extended butt weld valve body with a rack-and-pinion pneumatic actuator, shipped as one tested assembly. 316 three-piece construction, 1000 WOG, 3/8″ to 4″.
Built to hold, built to last.
The V-3AM-L2 pairs our extended butt weld valve body with a rack-and-pinion pneumatic actuator, so the whole unit welds straight into a stainless line and runs from your control system. It is a weldable ball valve at heart: the long weld ends are dimensioned to JIS stainless pipe, and the extra length keeps weld heat away from the PTFE seats — you can run an automatic orbital weld without stripping the valve first.
Ten sizes cover 3/8″, 1/2″, 3/4″, 1″, 1-1/4″, 1-1/2″, 2″, 2-1/2″, 3″ and 4″. Every body carries machined ISO 5211 pads from F03 up to F10, so the actuator mounts directly with no bracket. Choose double acting or spring return: as a pneumatic actuated ball valve assembly, each unit is sized, mounted and cycle-tested here before it ships. Standard air supply is 4 to 8 bar.
The valve stays serviceable after welding. Unbolt the centre section and the seats, ball and stem come out for cleaning or seat replacement while both weld ends stay in the pipe. We build these in Taiwan as a JIS valve manufacturer and supply OEM programs as well as one-off automation retrofits. If you do not need the actuator, the same body is available as a manual valve.
Need the pilot valve as well? Our solenoid valve for pneumatic actuators is NAMUR direct mount, bolts straight onto this actuator, and ships assembled and tested with the valve.

Where it gets used
Every valve leak tested.
Each unit is checked for leakage before shipment.
Why do the weld ends stick out so far?
The extra length is a heat buffer. It moves the weld joint away from the PTFE seats and seals, so you can butt weld the valve into the line — including with automatic orbital equipment — without taking the valve apart first.
Double acting or spring return — which should I pick?
Double acting uses air for both strokes and holds its last position if air is lost. Spring return uses air one way and the spring drives the valve to a preset open or closed position on air failure. If your process needs a defined state after air loss, pick spring return and tell us the fail direction.
What pipe does it weld to?
The ends are dimensioned to JIS stainless pipe — bore 12.5 mm to 100 mm with wall thickness 1.2 mm to 2.1 mm depending on size, as listed on the dimension sheet. Running a different pipe standard? Send us the spec before ordering.
Can I add a solenoid valve or limit switch box?
Yes. Solenoid valves, limit switch boxes and positioners are fitted at assembly. State the accessories and your air supply when you request a quote — standard supply is 4 to 8 bar, and the actuator itself is rated −20°C to +80°C.
Is there a manual version of this valve?
Yes — the same extended butt weld body ships with a lever as the V-3A-L2. See the extended butt weld ball valve page for the manual build.
