Locking Handle for Ball Valves — Padlock Hole, 304

A locking ball valve handle is a 304 stainless lever with a padlock hole that lines up in both the open and the closed position. Fit a padlock and the handle cannot be turned. It is made for our own ball valves and ships fitted; it is also sold on its own for our valves already in service.

Product overview

Lock it open, or lock it closed.

A locking ball valve handle gives the valve a physical lock point. The 304 stainless lever has a padlock hole that lines up with the body in both the fully open and the fully closed position. Put a padlock through it and the handle cannot be turned, so the line stays where you set it until the lock comes off.

The handle is made for our own ball valves and ships fitted on the valve. The padlock is not included — you use the one that matches your own key system.

Lockout ball valve for maintenance isolation

During lockout/tagout, the worker sets the valve open or closed, locks the handle, and tags it. Nobody can open or close that line by accident or without the key. The same padlock hole works for tamper resistance on valves in public or unsecured areas.

Locking handle sold separately

If you already run our ball valves, the locking handle can be bought on its own and swapped for the standard lever. It is made to fit our valve stems only; include the valve model and size with your inquiry.

FAQ
How do you lock a ball valve?

Set the valve fully open or fully closed, line up the padlock hole in the handle with the body, and fit a padlock. The handle cannot be turned until the padlock is removed.

Does it lock in both open and closed?

Yes. The padlock hole lines up in both positions, so you can secure the valve fully open or fully closed.

Is a padlock included?

No. You supply the padlock so it matches your own lockout key system. The handle provides the lock point.

Can I buy the locking handle on its own?

Yes, for our ball valves already in service. Include the valve model and size with your inquiry so it matches the stem.

Does it fit other brands of ball valve?

No. The handle is made to our valve stems, so we do not supply it for other brands’ valves.

Send a part number, a spec sheet or a photo. We will price it.
