Extended Handle for Ball Valves — 50 mm Stem Extension, 304
An extended handle raises the lever 50 mm above the pipe so it clears the insulation jacket. The 304 stainless stem extension is made for our own ball valves and ships fitted; other heights are made to order. The extension is also sold on its own for our valves already in service.
The handle clears the jacket.
On an insulated line the lever of a standard ball valve ends up buried in the jacket. An extended handle ball valve fixes that: a 304 stainless stem extension lifts the handle 50 mm above the pipe, so you can operate the valve without cutting into the insulation or leaving a gap around the stem.
The 50 mm extension is our standard. If your insulation is thicker, tell us the thickness and we make the extension to suit. The extension is built for our own valve stems and ships fitted on the valve.
Ball valve stem extension, sold separately
If you already run our ball valves on an insulated line, the stem extension can be bought on its own and fitted in place. It is made to fit our valve stems only; include the valve model with your inquiry.

How tall is the extension?
50 mm (about 2″) as standard. Tell us your insulation thickness and we make other heights to order.
Can I buy the stem extension on its own?
Yes, for our ball valves already in service. Include the valve model with your inquiry so it matches the stem.
Does it fit other brands of ball valve?
No. The extension is made to our valve stems, so we do not supply it for other brands’ valves.
Do I have to cut the insulation to fit it?
No. The extension lifts the handle clear of the jacket, so the insulation stays continuous around the stem.
Is the extension tubular or solid?
Either — tubular or solid 304 stainless, depending on the valve size and the height you need.
