Butterfly Handle for Ball Valves — T-Handle, 304 Stainless
A butterfly handle is a compact wing grip in 304 stainless steel: two short wings either side of the stem instead of a long lever, so the valve can be turned where a lever has no room to swing. Made for our 1/4″ to 1″ valves, fitted at the factory or supplied on its own.
A grip that turns where a lever cannot.
A butterfly handle — also called a T-handle or wing handle — replaces the long lever with two short wings either side of the stem. You turn it with thumb and finger, and it sweeps almost nothing: no arc to clear, no lever end sticking out into the walkway.
The grip is 304 stainless steel with moulded vinyl caps on the wings, and it is made for our 1/4″ to 1″ valves — the sizes that turn comfortably by hand. It ships fitted at the factory, or on its own if you are changing the handle on units already in service.
Where a lever has no room to swing Panels, junction boxes, manifolds with valves side by side, equipment frames — anywhere the lever would foul a wall, a door or the next valve along. The wings stay inside the footprint of the body, so two valves can sit closer together than a lever pair allows. The same shape is harder to knock open by accident than a long lever catching a sleeve or a hose.
Sizes, torque and ordering The butterfly grip suits 1/4″ to 1″, where hand torque is enough to break the seat free. Above that, the lever stays — the extra arm length is doing real work, and a wing grip would be fighting it. When you order, tell us the model and size of the valve so the grip matches the stem; the handle is made to our own stems and is not supplied for other brands.

What is a butterfly handle on a ball valve?
It is a T-shaped grip: two short wings either side of the stem in place of a lever. You pinch and turn it 90°, and because nothing extends past the body there is no arc to keep clear.
Which sizes take a butterfly handle?
1/4″ to 1″. Those sizes break free comfortably with hand torque. Larger valves keep the lever, where the extra arm length is doing real work.
Can I buy the handle on its own?
Yes. Give us the model and size of the valve and we supply the grip to match the stem — useful when you are changing handles on units already installed.
Does it fit other brands of ball valve?
No. The grip is made to our own stem and mounting, so we do not supply it for other brands.
Butterfly handle or lever — which should I pick?
Space decides it. If the lever clears and gets used rarely, keep the lever. If it fouls a panel, a door or the next valve, or the valve is turned by hand all day, the wing grip is easier to live with.
