Angle seat piston valve
Y-pattern piston valve in cast 316 stainless steel, PN40 rated, for fast on/off duty on hot water, steam and process lines. Sizes 1/2" to 2", PT threaded or socket-weld ends.
The seat sits on the diagonal.
The 2000Y is a pneumatically actuated angle seat valve: a Y-pattern piston valve that opens and closes in one fast linear stroke, driven by compressed air. The seat sits at an angle to the flow path, so the bore stays close to a straight-through run and pressure drop stays low at full flow. That is why this valve type is the standard choice for steam, hot water and fast-cycling process lines.
The body is investment-cast CF8M — the cast form of 316 stainless — rated PN40, with a working range of -20°C to +150°C. Sizes are 1/2", 3/4", 1" (with a choice of two actuator sizes), 1-1/4", 1-1/2" and 2". Ends are PT threaded or socket weld from stock; other end preparations are made to order.
The actuator is single acting: compressed air strokes the piston, and an internal spring returns it when the air signal drops. Send your line pressure and the pilot air pressure you have available with your enquiry, and we will size the actuator to match.
Bodies are cast, machined and assembled in our own plant in Taiwan. Your own mark and your own packaging are both available — see the OEM / ODM page.

What is a pneumatic angle seat valve?
It is a piston valve with the seat set at an angle to the flow path. Compressed air drives the piston and lifts the seal off the seat in one fast linear stroke. Because the seat is angled, the bore stays close to a straight run, so flow is high and pressure drop is low.
Is this the same thing as a Y-type pneumatic valve?
Yes. Angle seat valve, Y-type pneumatic valve and angle seat piston valve all describe the same design — the names come from the Y-shaped body and the inclined seat.
Can it handle steam?
Yes, within the temperature rating. The valve is rated to +150°C, which covers saturated steam up to roughly 4.7 bar, and the PN40 body has pressure to spare at that point. If your steam system runs hotter than 150°C, ask us before you order.
Single acting or double acting?
The 2000Y actuator is single acting: compressed air strokes the piston, and an internal spring returns it when the air signal is released. Send us your line pressure and the pilot air pressure you have available so the actuator is sized correctly.
Do you make these under our brand?
Yes. Laser marking, stamping, labels and your own boxes are all available. Casting and machining are both ours, so an OEM order does not wait on an outside supplier.
