Product overview

Built to hold, built to last.

A mini ball valve is what you reach for when the pipe is small and the space is smaller. This build takes the R1BN one-piece body — 316 stainless, made in one piece rather than welded — and swaps the lever for a butterfly handle, so the valve can be opened with a couple of fingers where a long lever has no room to swing.

The threads are male × female PT. The male end screws straight into a female port on the equipment; the line carries on from the female end. No nipple, no extra joint, one less place to leak.

Three sizes: 1/4″, 3/8″ and 1/2″, reduced port, rated 1000 WOG from −20°C to 80°C, with PTFE seats and a pickled finish.

A word on the handle: the butterfly is made for tight clusters and occasional operation. If the valve will be cycled often, or needs more leverage, order the same body with the standard lever — that is the R1BN.

FAQ
Butterfly handle or lever — which one?

Butterfly where clearance is tight: it needs far less swing radius than a lever, so it fits dense manifolds and instrument panels. For frequent operation or more leverage, choose the standard lever build — the R1BN.

Which sizes are available?

Three sizes: 1/4″, 3/8″ and 1/2″ — the same three as the lever-handle R1BN.

Why male × female threads?

The male end threads straight into a female port on a tank, pump or manifold, and the line continues from the female end. You skip the extra nipple, which shortens the stack and removes one joint.

Is this the same valve as the R1BN?

Same one-piece 316 body, same seats, same stem — only the handle differs. Dimensions are on the same sheet.

What are the materials?

The body is 316 stainless, made in one piece, with PTFE seats and a pickled finish. 304 stainless is made to order.
