Actuated PVC ball valve, true union
A UPVC true union ball valve with a rack-and-pinion air actuator bolted on top — for on/off duty on acid, alkali and seawater lines that eat stainless steel. Both ends unscrew, so the valve lifts out of the line for seat or ball service without cutting pipe. 1/2″ to 2″, EPDM or FKM seals, double acting or spring return.
Built for the lines that eat stainless steel.
An actuated PVC ball valve does one job that stainless steel cannot: sit in an acid, alkali or seawater line for years without pitting. The UPVC body and ball shrug off the chemistry that corrodes 316, and the rack-and-pinion air actuator on top opens or closes the line on a signal from a solenoid or PLC.
The body is a true union: both ends unscrew, so the whole valve lifts out of the line for cleaning or seat replacement without cutting pipe. Seats and O-rings come in EPDM or FKM (Viton) — tell us the medium and we match the elastomer. Sizes are 1/2″, 3/4″, 1″, 1-1/4″, 1-1/2″ and 2″, each paired to its actuator: T32 on 1/2″ and 3/4″, T40 on 1″, T50 from 1-1/4″ to 2″.
The actuator runs double acting or spring return on 4–8 bar of clean, dry air, and takes a NAMUR solenoid, a limit switch box or a positioner. It is an on/off isolation valve for automated lines — for metal-compatible media, our 316 stainless actuated ball valves cover the same sizes.
Need the pilot valve as well? Our solenoid valve for pneumatic actuators is NAMUR direct mount, bolts straight onto this actuator, and ships assembled and tested with the valve.

Where it gets used
Every valve leak tested.
Each unit is checked for leakage before shipment.
Why UPVC instead of stainless steel?
UPVC resists acids, alkalis and salt water that pit and corrode stainless steel, and the valve is a fraction of the weight. For hot or high-pressure lines, choose our stainless actuated valves instead.
What does true union mean?
Both ends of the body unscrew. Loosen the two union nuts and the valve lifts out of the line for cleaning or seat replacement — no cutting, no re-gluing.
EPDM or FKM — which seal do I need?
EPDM covers water, dilute acids and alkalis; FKM (Viton) covers oils, solvents and stronger oxidisers. Tell us the medium and concentration and we confirm the combination.
Double acting or spring return?
Double acting uses air for both strokes and holds position on air loss. Spring return drives one way with air and returns by spring, so on air failure the valve goes to a preset open or closed position.
Can I add a solenoid valve or limit switch?
Yes — the actuator takes a NAMUR solenoid valve, a limit switch box for position feedback, or a positioner for modulating duty.
