Tri clamp butterfly valve
Wafer-body sanitary butterfly valve in 304 stainless (316 to order), clamped between two ferrules. PTFE seat, top-platform actuator mount, 1/2″ to 4″ tube OD.
Short, light, and clamped in.
A butterfly valve does one job well: open or shut a large bore, cheaply and in very little space. The BFV-W is the sanitary version — a wafer body in 304 stainless that clamps between two ferrules, with a disc that turns 90° from open to closed. Face-to-face is short, the valve is light, and on anything past two inches it costs a fraction of a ball valve the same size.
Sizes run Ø12.7 to Ø101.6 mm — that is 1/2″, 3/4″, 1″, 1-1/2″, 2″, 2-1/2″, 3″ and 4″ tube OD. Note there is no 1-1/4″ in the range. The seat is PTFE and the body and disc are 304 stainless throughout; 316 is available to order.
The top platform takes the actuator directly, bolted through four holes — M6 up to Ø50.8, M8 from Ø63.5 up. The pneumatic build uses the same rack-and-pinion cylinder we fit to our ball valves, double acting or spring return.
Two things decide where this valve fits. The disc turns edge-on to the flow and stays in the bore — that is what keeps the face-to-face this short, and it is what makes the valve suit on/off and isolation duty. And it is the PTFE seat, not the 304 body, that sets the working temperature: tell us your line temperature when you enquire and we will confirm the seat suits it.

Where it gets used
Every valve leak tested.
Each unit is checked for leakage before shipment.
Butterfly valve or ball valve — which do I need?
Butterfly for tank isolation, large flow and on/off duty where budget matters: the face-to-face is short and the price gap widens as size goes up. Ball valve when you need a clear unobstructed bore, or when the medium carries particles or fibres that can wedge between disc and seat.
What sizes are available?
Eight sizes: Ø12.7, Ø19.1, Ø25.4, Ø38.1, Ø50.8, Ø63.5, Ø76.2 and Ø101.6 mm — 1/2″, 3/4″, 1″, 1-1/2″, 2″, 2-1/2″, 3″ and 4″ tube OD. There is no 1-1/4″ in this range.
What decides the temperature limit?
The seat, not the body. The 304 stainless body will take far more heat than the PTFE seat, so the seat is what actually decides whether the valve suits your line. Send us the line temperature and we will confirm it.
How does the actuator mount?
On the top platform, four bolts — M6 for Ø12.7 to Ø50.8, M8 for Ø63.5 to Ø101.6. No bracket and no coupling.
Can it divert flow between two lines?
No. This is a two-port valve. For diverting, use a three-way ball valve.
How do I get a price?
Send the size, the actuator type (DA or SR), and the quantity. Tell us the line temperature too so we can confirm the seat suits it.
